How to Use Passiv to Decumulate my Investments?

Do you want to sell overweight  assets, but not reinvest your gains?  Did you know that you can use Passiv to do that? Here’s how:

Go to the portfolio group you want to decumulate in and go to Portfolio Settings.

In the Cash Management section, click Add Rule. Select the account you want to apply the rule to. Note that if you have more than one account in this portfolio group, you will have to apply the same rule to each of these accounts.

Select Allocate at most and input 0 for amount. Click Submit. Repeat for every currency that you want to liquidate in your portfolio.

If you'd like to liquidate assets in all currencies, you can also disable Keep Currencies Separate and set the rule in any of the currency in your portfolio.

Then, turn Allow selling to rebalance ON.

Passiv will try to sell your overweight assets (where the actual allocation is higher than the target) without buying any underweight assets.
